
Bjoring Center for Nursing Historical Inquiry
The Eleanor Crowder Bjoring Center for Nursing Historical Inquiry is an internationally recognized archives and research center dedicated to the history of nursing and health care. Through research, educational programming, and the collection and preservation of historical materials, the Bjoring Center is committed to advancing scholarship and education that provides critical perspective on contemporary issues in health care.
The Center regularly hosts a History Forum speaker series and international conferences, awards a range of research fellowships annually, and sponsors other events. Throughout its programming, the Center promotes scholarship centered on global, diverse, and inclusive histories of nursing and health care.
The Center also provides informational, consulting, and photographic services to those who seek assistance with research in the history of nursing and health care.

The center is open to researchers and visitors on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., or at other times by appointment. Please contact the center to schedule an appointment.
